Coyle research link This is a new page just
posted by a fellow Coyle to try to help us find our common roots. Her name is Ginny Chung. Ginny's branch of Coyles come from Donnegal
, but a lot of her links will help us Cavan Coyles too. Lots of good stuff here if you want to try to help us in the search.
Coal Region Contents This is a pretty neat site about the anthracite mining area
from which we sprang. It has a lot of history on the area, along with pictures. (No geniology) Also included is a dictionary on
the area that explains what different words and names mean in the area. The dictionary helped me to find the town of Audenreid
where our great great grandparents died when I couldn't find it on a map. Also it has a great section on "Coal Speak" where they
show how words are pronounced and used in the coal region. While I was reading this, I could almost see Uncle Joe McGraw's lips
moving!
Centralia, Pennsylvania This is a site devoted to the story
and pictures of the place that used to be Centralia, PA. Centralia is the site of a devastating coal fire that has undermined the town
These days the former town consists of 3 lived in houses, and a whole lot of streets with empty building lots. The other major
features
are lots of smoke, sulpher fumes, and charred ground and trees. All in all it reminds you of a yet to be built development in rural Hell.
O'Nottagain's Irish LinksThis is a link that will take you to a site with
oodles of links to other Irish sites of all sorts.

Drumgoon Parish This link has a quite lengthy discription
of a survey taken of Drumgoon Parish in County Cavan. Everything is covered from the people to the land to the economic
conditions. I stongly suspect that Phillip Coyle left here at about the time this survey was conducted
